The traditional framework
The eight trigrams, their line structures and elemental associations, and the year–month–day–hour calculation form the cultural foundation. Six lines are read from bottom to top, with one moving line.
SHÍ / TIME
SHÍ / STONE
In Mandarin, time and stone share the same sound: shí.
SHÍ Moment brings the two together.
Some stories live in small things. A ring worn smooth. A stone brought home. An object whose meaning is known only to the person who carries it.
SHÍ begins with the moment you entered the world. We interpret its date, time, and place through a symbolic six-line pattern inspired by the I Ching and Meihua Yishu time-divination framework. Then we translate that pattern into a contemporary arrangement of stones.
Different birth records can share a pattern. The natural markings of real stones, the materials you choose, and your own words make the expression personal. The result is a way of holding a beginning, and leaving the rest of the story open.
We honor the difference between
a traditional framework and
our own creative interpretation.
The eight trigrams, their line structures and elemental associations, and the year–month–day–hour calculation form the cultural foundation. Six lines are read from bottom to top, with one moving line.
Using a birth moment as a fixed input, adjusting it for birthplace, and giving its pattern a personal theme are SHÍ choices. Foundation, Expression, Turning Point, and Becoming are our narrative labels.
We map each element to an approved family of stones. Each position offers choices within its family; this is a material language, not an analysis of missing elements. Clear Quartz is neutral: it represents the space in a yin line and does not count as Metal.
Each line becomes a pair of beads. Yang pairs two element stones; Yin pairs an element stone with Clear Quartz. An Origin Marker shows where to begin. A separate Turning Stone follows the moving pair. Extra beads follow all six pairs to adjust the fit without changing the code.
SHÍ offers cultural storytelling and personal symbolism. It does not diagnose personality, predict a future, or promise health, luck, or prosperity.
